Backstage at Knotfest Sydney 2025, we caught up with Johnny Health, the wild mind behind HEALTH, to talk about all the weird and wonderful things that make the band so unique. From unexpected collaborations to his deep love for anime, Johnny had plenty to say—but things really got interesting when we got into the band’s insane merch lineup. We’re talking HEALTH-branded lubes, “CUM METAL” t-shirts, and even a butt plug. Yep, you read that right.
In true HEALTH fashion, the conversation was equal parts hilarious and unfiltered, diving into what fuels their over-the-top creativity and why they’re always pushing boundaries—whether it’s in music or merch. Johnny even threw out a not-so-subtle hint to Amazon, saying they should call him if they need music for their Warhammer 40K series.
