The Gladiator II Sydney premiere was held on Wednesday 30 October at the ICC in Darling Harbour.

The huge event was a star-studded affair, featuring appearances by film stars Paul Mescal, Fred Hechinger, and Connie Nielsen, who attended to the delight of fans.

Local Australian celebrities, including Anthony Field of The Wiggles, and actress Miranda Tapsell were also in attendance, adding to the night’s excitement. The event was set against a backdrop of live music performed by a full orchestra, transforming the ICC into a scene reminiscent of Ancient Rome. The evening offered fans a captivating experience that celebrated both the film’s historical inspiration and its epic cinematic ambition by legendary director Ridley Scott.

From legendary director Ridley Scott, GLADIATOR II continues the epic saga of power, intrigue, and vengeance set in Ancient Rome. Years after witnessing the death of the revered hero Maximus at the hands of his uncle, Lucius (Paul Mescal) is forced to enter the Colosseum after his home is conquered by the tyrannical Emperors who now lead Rome with an iron fist. With rage in his heart and the future of the Empire at stake, Lucius must look to his past to find strength and honor to return the glory of Rome to its people.
